- Samovare (2)
Mamzelle Tess is untried over 1700m but is in career best form placing behind Invincibella in Gr. 2 1400m this course before just failing to overhaul Shoko over the mile at Moonee Valley. Ideally drawn.
Mrs Gardenia couldn’t quicken in “sprint home” at Caulfield then back and wide at the Valley. Smart on day and is deserving of another chance.
Samovare has been placed numerous times at group level over the past 12 months and is nicely treated at the weights. Tired after doing too much early in Coongy

Sin To Win was 4th in this race last year and has since won the 3200m Andrew Ramsden at this course. Not disgraced in Metro and Herbert Power. Over this odds.

Race 10:
- Princess Posh (4)
- Savatiano (12)
- Cool Passion (5)

Savatiano was posted wide at Newcastle then caught in traffic jam when 2nd Invincibella in Gr. 2 this route. Disappointing when a short-priced favourite Valley 1600m.
