Trouble is brewing at Melbourne.
After a series of unconvincing displays – even in victory – the Storm with six wins from eight matches has slipped to fourth place on the premiership ladder.
Worse still Melbourne captain and the brilliant No.6 Cameron Munster are said to have clashed in the closing minutes of the game with Cronulla last weekend.
The Storm went down 18-20 but Munster believe a match-winning opportunity slipped by in the closing minutes, which led to him having “words” with his much distinguished leader.
The Storm has the opportunity to improve the situation within the club and on the field against Parramatta on Saturday night.
With each of the eight matches in Round 9 being played at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium the closest encounter is shaping as that between West Tigers and the 15th placed Penrith on Friday night.
The Tigers, in ninth place, should just have the edge.
