English trainer Hughie Morrison and Australian owner Ozzie Kheir have launched a bitter attack on Racing Victoria officials after being told their star galloper Marmelo would not be allowed to run in the Melbourne Cup.
And Godolphin galloper Ispolini will also not be allowed to run in Australia’s greatest race after stewards acted on veterinary advice.
Morrison, who arrived in Australia on Tuesday to supervise the strongly fancied galloper’s final Cup preparations, said he and his team were disappointed by the Racing Victoria decision.
