Race 1
- Tagaloa [2]
- Baaqyah [8]
- Soomayya [10]
- Narvaez [4]
Race 2
- November Dreaming [7]
- Balaabel [2]
- Maserartie Bay [1]
- Jimmy’s Secret [4]
November Dreaming was thwarted by inside-bias when 2nd on resumption Seymour 1300m then ridden more positively when a runaway winner Kyneton 1450m. Gets a cosy run.
Balaabel, talented filly peaked after covering ground when narrowly beaten in listed 1800m at Morphettville then never in doubt when dropping back to 1600m same course. Awkward gate.
Maserartie Bay made it two from two this prep dispatching lesser lights Seymour 1400m then not disgraced in Eureka Stockade at Ballarat suggesting the extra 200m will suit.
Jimmy’s Secret is getting better with each start leading till final 100m 4th Call Me Shamus this route before dominant all-the-way victory Hamilton 1600m. Drawn to lead.
Race 3
- Bella Vella [1]
- Causeway Girl [4]
- Can’tforgetyou [7]
- Fill The Flute [3]
Bella Vella, well travelled 5yo always doing it easily when successful 955m this course then only conceded late 5th Soothing, Ball Of Muscle Flemington listed 1000m. Suited back against own sex.
Causeway Girl was spelled after failing on a soft track at Caulfield in August but did win previous two first-up and would only need to replicate her efforts at Randwick to give this a mighty shake.
Can’tforgetyou has created a good impression in handful of starts charging late 3rd Unicorny this route before sprinting away from Write Enuff bench 70 here Nov 15. Will be running home strongly.
Fill The Flute usually hits the ground running and is favoured around Valley 1000m. Defeated smart Grey Shadow in this race last year while Be My Star [5] appreciated being ridden quieter when successful Parks 1000m.
Race 4
- Mystyko [3]
- Thermal Current [2]
- Wagner [6]
- Gibbon [7]
Mystyko hit a career high earlier this year winning four of eight including listed 1200m this course and has come back well with solid 2nd Viridine Sandown 1000m.
Thermal Current, veteran who continues to hit the line with enthusiasm. Lacked galloping room 4th classy Soothing Flemington 1000m before fast-finishing 3rd Hillside listed 1000m.
Wagner has mixed his form over the past 12 months but is clearly more effective on good ground. Won past two first-up.
Gibbon has had nothing go his way this campaign and can place at big odds while Irish import Yulong Yuheng [5] showed blistering speed at Sandown and could take catching from inside draw.
Race 5
- Talenti [5]
- Bill The Bee [7]
- Manhattan Arch [8]
- Spearhead [10]
Talenti attracted plenty of attention in his three starts in NZ and was impressive on local debut this course/distance, sustaining a big run from last.
Bill The Bee was consistent when last in training – placing behind classy Zoutori Caulfield 1600m – and has come back well leading till last stride 2nd Seymour 1422m.
Manhattan Arch, capable 5yo returned from a 80-week layoff with a solid 2nd [of 15] in-form Widespread Bendigo 1300m while Spearhead adds value to exotics.

Race 6
- Somals [6]
- Three Beans [2]
- Cosmic Rhapsody [1]
- Rubisaki [4]
Somals surprised winning on debut at Benalla in September but proved that was no fluke overpowering The Natural this course/distance. Drawn to box seat.
Three Beans will appreciate the drop in grade [and tempo] after placing behind Sartorial Splendor in Gr. 3 this route and All Cylinders in open 72 15 days ago.
Cosmic Rhapsody is unbeaten in three starts this season doing it easily under 60.5kg in bench 64 this route Nov 15. Drawn wide.
Rubisaki will be spotting the leaders a decent start but is a real talent. Easily dispatched 14 opponents Flemington 1400m before head 2nd [59kg] listed 1600m same course while Alburq [5] has been placed in four of six including listed Blue Diamond Preview.
Race 7
- Sure Knee [1]
- Vanuatu [3]
- Snogging 2]
- Something Silver [5]
Sure Knee didn’t relish being ridden forward 8th [3/1] Randwick 1500m but back on song scoring comfortably over 1700m at Flemington [5:2-2-0] Cup Day.
Vanuatu wasn’t suited by muddling speed when dropping to 1500m at Sandown and is best assessed on strong finishing 3rd Amangiri in Gr. 3 this course/distance.
Snogging hasn’t won in 19 months but was only a nose off Music Bay in Gr. 2 1600m at Morphettville in May and her three starts this campaign have been encouraging.
Something Silver can be excused past three unplaced efforts and invariably pulls out a big run at Moonee Valley while Shahzade [9] goes in exotics. . .
Race 8
- Sir Pippin [10]
- Rupture [9]
- Secret Blze [6]
- Danon Roman [7]
Sir Pippin, imported 5yo never sighted daylight when resuming Rosehill 1500m before solid 2nd [travelled well] emerging House Of Cartier Newcastle 1850m. Best runs have been left-handed.
Rupture has gone to a new level since stepping up in distance completing winning hat-trick in 2200m Hamilton Cup. Peaked after tough run in Bendigo Cup.
Secret Blaze has performed well at stakes level over the past two seasons and good as ever closing steadily under 60kg Geelong 1400m before overpowering in-form Starouz Morphettville 1600m.
Danon Roman didn’t come up last prep but was good winning first-up at Mornington then not disgraced behind Pacodali and classy Setting Sail in Gr,3 1800m at Sandown.
Mr Money Bags [5] should be at his top following eight runs from a break Took off early 2nd Flemington then too close when 5th in Eclipse.
Race 9
- Morrissy [10]
- Spirit Of Aquada [6]
- Gold Mag [9]
- Mumbles [17]
Morrissy needs the breaks to fall his way but this does appear his race – 1200m around a bend. Powered home 2nd 955m this course then drew unfavourably 5th Flemington 1100m.
Spirit Of Aquada was a model of consistency when last in training and was explosive when resuming over this course and distance.
Gold Mag, well regarded 5yo who was tried over 2100m last prep but does boast a good record in sprints [4: 2-1-1] Mumbles was a certainty beaten at Flemington in May and was much too good for short-priced Prince OF Caviar when returning at Bendigo, while Street Life [7] has place claims.
BEST TALENTI
EACH-WAY: SIR PIPPIN
