Sizzlefly has looked stakes material in her two starts towelling lesser lights Morphettville 1050 before dominant win on heavy ground when returning at Mornington [metro]. Awkwardly drawn but does hit the line hard.

King Of Hastings did it easily on debut Cranbourne 1000m then collared last stride when stepping to 1200m at Sandown. Handles all surfaces.

Avon River has been competitive against some of the best of her age in Sydney as is sure to be charging home. Coped with soft 7 when 5th behind stable mate in Group 3.

Race 2:

  1. Five Kingdom (2)
  2. Heir To The Throne [6]
  3. Pria Eclipse ][11]
  4. Shrouded In Mist [10]

Five Kingdom, progressive 4yo finished stoutly when resuming 3rd Flemington 1400m then faced impossible task when back in a “sprint home” 5th in over 1600m last Saturday. Down in grade.

Heir To The Throne continues to race well on soft and heavy ground. Lumped 59.5kg to victory Sale 1400m before fighting 5th Street Sheikh Lakeside 1600m.

Pria Eclipse continues to hold her form defeating in-form Ballet Master Lakeside 1400m before 2nd Shrouded In Mist over 1600m at same venue. Meets that mare 3kg better and drawn to get a soft lead.

Shrouded In Mist obviously appreciated the being ridden quieter when successful over this trip at Lakeside a fortnight ago. Needs luck from outside draw.

Tavistock Dancer [13] talented 3yo did plenty wrong in his two victories earlier this season. Check betting.

Race 3:

  1. Fabric (5)
  2. Really Swish (10)
  3. Persuader (2)
  4. Robe De Fete (4)

Fabric, progressive filly never out of trouble after a tardy getaway at Flemington 1400m then always had subsequent winners Aristocratic Miss and Tides covered same route May 25.

Really Swish, backmarker who has been luckless in his three starts this campaign. Drops 8kg on Mornington 7th when thwarted by inside bias.

Persuader has mixed her form since winning listed 1400m at Sandown last spring but does rate highly on 2nd Asgard Massif this route two starts ago. Drawn to get a cosy run.

Robe De Fete overpowered Australian Guineas runner-up at Sandown in January and was a good 5th [66/1] when resuming at Flemington. Too bad to be true in Adelaide last time. While Yulong June [7] goes in exotics.

Race 4:

  1. Sweet Jazz (11)
  2. News Girl [2]
  3. Voila (8)
  4. Tell Me (1)

Sweet Jazz, lightly raced filly had no luck in home straight when resuming on heavy track Sandown 1200m but did battle on resolutely. Each-way in a race of numerous chances.

News Girl kicked off last campaign with an effortless win Albury 1175m but significantly was runner-up behind the classy Crack The Code in next two starts this course. Drawn to lead.

Voila is going much better than her form this campaign would indicate and is sure the relish a truly run contest. Top value.

Tell Me [1] raced slower inside when 8th here April 20 but subsequent efforts in Sydney have been sound. Placed behind Military Zone in Listed Gosford Guineas Dec 28.

Graceful Storm [3] beat the classy Thrillster on ”swoopers track” here April 20 then caught in traffic subsequent two while The Commoner [12] failed on heavy 9 at Sandown but is right in this on her Cranbourne win and close Bendigo second.

Race 5:

  1. Bel Sonic (1)
  2. Torpenhow (7)
  3. Like To Think So (6)
  4. Barthelona (3)

Bel Sonic was short on galloping room neck 4th straight specialist Milwaukee Flemington 1100m last Sat. Beat smart Debt Collector in Adelaide on a seven-day back-up previous.

Like To Think So progressed through his grades last year – winning four including two metro – and was only nailed late when returning under 59.5kg Swan Hill Carnival.

Barthelona didn’t come up in the autumn but is well placed on his best and did register back-to-back victories at Flemington last June.

Kalashani Lad [9] can miss the start but he did begin on terms when a solid 4th mudrunner Jungle Edge Sandown 1200m. Up 2kg in much weaker race.

Dogmatic had something up his sleeve when successful on a similar surface over 2000m at Caulfield earlier this month (pictured). Image: Racing Photos, Natasha Morello.

Race 6:

  1. Dogmatic (1)
  2. Green Ivy (10)
  3. Tysonic (2)
  4. Peace Brother (5)

Dogmatic has improved since moving to Cranbourne beating older horses Ballarat 1600m before effortless win 3yo this route. Collared final 50m when steeping to 2100m at Sandown.

Green Ivy has always shown potential and finally on the board when stepping to 2040m at Moe. Suited back 2000m after taking off early at Sandown [2100m] last time.

Tysonic was no match for Dogmatic when 2nd over this route but did hit the line much better when ridden more patiently at Sandown.

Peace Brother never sighted daylight behind stable mate at Swan Hill then again travelling well when locked-up  behind Tysonic at Lakeside.

Scherzer [12] has improved with each increase in distance closing steadily 3rd Sandown 1600m before effortless win Sale 1700m.

Race 7:

  1. Guizot (2)
  2. One More Try (7)
  3. Masculino (5)
  4. Torgersen (3)

Giuizot did too much early at Flemington May 25 but right back on track with a line-finding 2nd [of 14] in Swan Hill Cup, suggesting the extra 200m will suit.

One More Try, carefully placed mare tends to perform best on soft ground. No match for Dr Drill at Flemington last time and he would have been odds-on in this.

Masculino hit a purple patch of form last winter – scoring easily at Flemington and this course – and is ready to improve following two starts from a four-month layoff.

Torgersen battled on strongly 2nd So Soi Bon listed Lord Stakes [1700m] this course Boxing Day and is and is suited here following three starts over shorter distances. Over the odds at 20/1+.

Liapari [4] rejuvenated 6yo given a short break after fast finishing 2nd [66/1] in-form Mahamedeis 1600m this couse.

Race 8:

  1. Miss Norway (1)
  2. Fragonard (2)
  3. Eurack (5)
  4. Miss Iano (7)

Miss Norway won three of five last campaign and has come back well just failing to catch speedy Parwan Prince Flemington 1000m. Suited by extra distance and drop back to mares grade.

Fragonard acquitted herself well when campaigning in Victoria previously – including 2nd [of 14] classy Grey Shadow this course – and is fitter for 3rd Passage Of Time Rosehill 1300m.

Eurack was spelled after disappointing in two starts earlier this season but was unbeaten in four starts previous. Encouraging 6th when returning in big field at Flemington.

Miss Iano, backmarker who has been luckless in her past four starts in Adelaide and is good fresh and does like soft ground. Value.

Nariko [6] lacked galloping room in first three starts this campaign – including Gr. 3 – then not suited by heavy 10 when 2nd Geelong 1140m.

Race 9:

  1. Into Rio [10]
  2. Street Sheikh [4]
  3. Elite Drake [6]
  4. Angelic Spirit [7]

Street Sheikh broke exasperating of minor prizes M.Parks 1400m then home in last-stride over longshot Travimyfriend Lakeside 1600m – has same gate but unlikely to get the same charmed run..

Elite Drake was no match for emerging Begood Toya Mother this course/distance before fighting victory Bendigo 1500m last Sunday.

Angelic Spirit did too much early when resuming under 58.5kg Flemington 1400m then again went too keenly 3rd Pop Queen last Saturday. Drawn to get an easier lead while Strike Force [2] adds value to exotics.
