The most intriguing feature of this round will be the way Greater Western Sydney perform at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Third-placed with six wins and three losses the Giants are going up against the 15th-placed Melbourne, which has three wins and six losses.
The Giants are hot favourites but judging on the club’s record at the M.C.G. they cannot be regarded as certainties.
The teams GWS have fielded have only managed to win only twice in 16 games on the hallowed ground which was against Collingwood last year and, coincidentally, against Melbourne in 2014.
Added to that that abysmal record worsened when the Giants suffered a 33- point loss to a struggling Hawthorn two weeks ago.
The Demons have the game’s No.1 ruckman in Max Gawn so they cannot be under rated but cold hard logic would say the Giants should earn the four points.
The match-of-the-round is Adelaide against West Coast at Adelaide on Saturday.
Neither side has been convincing so far but the Eagles might just win.
