O’Brien set to launch multi-pronged Manikato attack by Michael Lynch

Top European sprinter US Navy Flag made no sort of show on the boggy ground that he faced in The Everest in Sydney, but he will look to atone on Friday night in the group 1 Manikato Stakes at Moonee Valley when he will spearhead a potential four-pronged Coolmore assault on one of Melbourne’s premier sprint prizes.

US Navy Flag also missed the start at Randwick, and with conditions all against him he was unable to show the sort of ability that allowed him to win the group 1 July Cup at Newmarket in the northern hemisphere summer.
