
Melbourne Cup hopes Prince Of Arran, Constantinople and Mustajeer, as well as Cox Plate fancy Danceteria, are all horses currently ensconced at the quarantine centre in Werribee who each have fascinating backstories.
But perhaps the most intriguing galloper of all to pitch up in Melbourne last weekend was not one of the other better-known candidates this spring carnival.
Few punters will have any idea about a Godolphin horse called Royal Meeting, which is not surprising. He only ran twice last season as a two-year-old, and has not been seen out at all in 2019.
