AFL Round 6 Selections by Graeme Kelly

So far the AFL season has been even but topsy-turvy with no team unbeaten or winless after just five rounds.

However, a few questions should be answered in round 6, which stretches over five days beginning with Richmond against Melbourne at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Wednesday night.

The co-captain of the Demons Jack Viney, who suffered a hand injury in the loss to St. Kilda, will be available to play which will help.

Against that the Tigers are gathering momentum under the leadership of Trent Cotchin and should prove superior.

Unfortunately the Saints will be without their captain Jarryn Geary, who has a severe hamstring injury, for the encounter with Adelaide at Marvel Stadium on Saturday.

One of the “surprise packets” of the season St Kilda should still be able overcome the Crows, despite the six goals kicked by Eddie Betts in the thrashing they inflicted on the Gold Coast last Sunday.

Essendon is on an upswing and the club’s traditional Anzac Day clash with Collingwood at the M.C.G. should prove a closely fought affair with the Magpies just coming out on top.
