Season Defining Clash On Thursday Night
Collingwood has the chance to lift its game and redeem itself in Thursday’s clash with Richmond at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
It is another marquis clash for the Magpies, whose indifferent forward play resulted in a seven-point loss to Geelong before 80,000-odd at the M.C.G. in the opening round.
The odds favour Collingwood with Richmond having to overcome the season loss of Alex Rance to a knee injury, which will seriously weaken the side’s defence.
After having a gruelling four quarter encounter with the Magpies, Geelong should have a relatively easy task against Melbourne.
The Demons were seriously disappointing against Port Adelaide and the Cats have the distinct advantage of playing at home so they should be able to notch another victory.
In fact the Cats should have a much easier assignment than first expected.
